An assembly is a number of components that have been put together/assembled. For example, a car engine is an assembly, assembled from hundreds of components such as: pistons, shafts, electronic components, etc. What is meant by shapes and features. Let’s consider a CD as an example to illustrate the terms. It’s a circular shape. One of its features is a hole in the centre.
