Babies learning together…

How to use this knowledge! Learn to hear your fixed mindset “voice” Recognize that you have a choice Talk to yourself with a growth mindset voice Take the growth mindset action

6/6/2016 Guided Practice

6/6/2016 Academic Example: Fixed mindset voice: “I am not very good at math.” Recognize that you have a choice: “I can be good at math if I work hard enough.” Talk to yourself with a growth mindset voice: “If I keep working on the difficult problems until I understand them, I will become smart in math!” Take the growth mindset action: “I am going to work on my homework until I understand all of it.”

6/6/2016 Personal Example Fixed mindset voice: “I am fat.” Recognize that you have a choice: “I can be in good shape if I want to be.” Talk to yourself with a growth mindset voice: “If I keep eating correctly and exercising, I will lose weight!” Take the growth mindset action: “I am going to eat correctly and exercise until I have only 14% body fat.”

6/6/2016 Relational Example Fixed mindset voice: “My parents don’t understand me.” Recognize that you have a choice: “I can have a good relationship with my parents.” Talk to yourself with a growth mindset voice: “If I keep talking to my parents and keep an open relationship with them, I can understand them and they can understand me.” Take the growth mindset action: “I am going to work on my relationship with my parents until we get along the way I want to.”
