October 2013 ASI DOO team ASI DOO as your partner “ MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model”

Company overview 2 ASI DOO is a privately held company, based in Skopje, Macedonia More then 10 years accumulated managerial, business development and engineering Cable TV network experience, in the shareholder structure: Goran Poposki and LICA s.r.o (privately held company based in Nymburk, Czech Republic) High skilled engineering team High skilled business development team Operating on the SEE markets, covering 10 countries and 50+ M population More than 30% average Broadband penetration 15+ M Households, 7+ M Cable TV connected homes

Company overview 3 Main activities: System integration, mainly focused on HFC and FttX networks Implementation of leading technologies: DVB-C, DVB-T, IPTV, OTT, DOCSIS 3.0, G-PON… Implementation and introduction of Broadband - 3 play services, with significant focus on Over the Top TV Services Company strategy definition, introduction and implementation Definition and introduction of extra revenue services, based on 3 play service strategy and new leading technologies Consultancy services, focused on company performance improvement (market oriented) and company infrastructure consolidation Refurbishment center Hosted – Cloud services provider

Company overview 4 ASI DOO technology partners:

“MiniCMTS – Network Distributed Model” 5 “Fast internet over coaxial networks” “Are you aware, that coaxial cable, which is available almost everywhere, can deliver to the living room up to 4Gbit/s ?”

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 6 Comparison of different approach … FTTH Still relatively expensive solution. Our experience is, that it is best way on green fields. Limitation we see not in fiber, but in active technology. Relatively expensive operation, heating, fans, cooling etc. issues. GePON, GPON Ideal solution for trunk distribution. Its main advantage is „pay as you grow“ system and its flexibility. Missing is ONU standantization, but it is comming. Fiber / UTP cabling Very popular mainly in Central and Eastern Europe. Providing CAT6 is used, operator can rely on more then 100Mbit/s. Limitation is, that not always UTP cabling is possible. With higher speed crosstalks may occure. EoC (Ethernet over Coax) Solution, which has its customers. Cheap and relatively easy to deploy solution. Can not overcome amplifier and Master and slave MUST be from same vendor. DOCSIS 3.0 Still widely used technology in coaxial networks. Very robust and stable technology with variety of different modems. DOCSIS3.0 is fully standartized, more then 10 years on the market. Channel bonding offers capacity far above twisted pair etherent or xDSL

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 7 Coax network and its capacity Advantages: coax is „everywhere“ and after fiber optics it is second fastest „medium“ utilizing 16 TV channels you can obtain 800Mbit/s (chipset with 32 channels is on roadmap) DOCSIS internet can be spliced to existing TV channel pattern no extra cable installation is necessary can overcome longer distances. Once DVB-T/C is working, means high chance, that DOCSIS is OK cable modems are „stable CPE device“ long term on the market with many vendors, simple and „clear“ installation in living room Limitation: relatively high price for smaller systems. Big chassi with high power consumption network must be return path ready 5 – 65 MHz proper screening efficiency is required issues with potential „ingress“ also once LTE will be widely introduced

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 8 Data in Coaxial networks Docsis 2.0 -> Docsis 3.0 – Docsis 2.0 has fully specified packet prioritization, QOS and VoIP became standard. Only one TV channel could be used, thus for QAM 256 it was only 50 Mbps for entire network – Docsis 3.0 has introduced „channel bonding“ ie. simultanious several downstream in paralel. Existing cable modems utilize 8 downstreams in paralel = 400Mbps but new modems up to 16 downstreams are going to be introduced = 800Mbps

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 9 “WE BELIVE IN NETWORK DITSRIBUTED CONCEPT”

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 10

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 11

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 12 MiniCMTS allows complete new design of the network MiniCMTS can be both indoor and outdoor version 16 downstream/4 upstream on Broadcom chipset (800Mbps downstream, 120Mbps upstream) Input 1Gbit/s elektrical/optical SFP or RJ45 Output TV + DOCSIS on „F“ connectors L2 bridge (just ethernet-coax-ethernet black box) L3 router, DHCP a TFTP is provided externally Cable modem 8D/4U achieved speed up to 350 Mbps It can operate in paralel to existing CMTS on the same network – modem control via provisioning MiniCMTS can serve max 500 modems, recommended amount is 250. D2.0 or D3.0 can be used. Internet optimizer for TV outlets can be used

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 13 Parameters Downstream 87 – 1000 MHz Annex A,B (kanál 8MHz, 6MHz) QAM64, QAM256 Max. speed 800Mbps Power max. 45dBmV/105dBuV Upstream 5 – 65 MHz ATDMA, SCDMA (not TDMA) QPSK, QAM16, QAM64, Max. speed 120Mbps US bandwidth

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 14 Datasheet Supports following cable modems (Euro)DOCSIS 2.0 a 3.0 Cisco - EPC2100, EPC3010, EPC3212 Arris - CM820, CM9xx Thomson, Motorola EBR5100, 5101 Management HTTP GUI in the chip, server with CDNMS SNMP (to be completed) Other parameters DHCP relay, QOS, VoIP, VLANs Channelbonding, LoadBalancing, IP/QAM unicast + multicast Spectrum analyzer

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 15 Why is so attractive? Advantages Outdoor housing Temperature range -20 o C až +70 o C No moving parts, fans thus reliability Speed up to 800Mbit/s for one modem Consumption max 36W, typical 30W !!! So far all modems were working DOCSIS 2.0 speeds up to 35 Mbit/s DOCSIS 3.0 speed up to 350 Mbit/s Limitation L2 bridge (needs L3 router a DHCP a TFTP server

“MiniCMTS - Network Distributed Model” 16 Conclusion Future is in video over internet IPTV streaming is now available over coax with simple solution OTT – future non linear services
