 Eat more calories than you use (or burn)= gain weight  Eat less calories than you use= loose weight  Eat the same amount that you use= maintain weight  3,500 calories= 1lb of fat  Eat 500 calories less than you need for seven days and you should lose 1 pound in a week  Burning 500 calories a day by exercise will increase that to 2 pounds a week
