The sisters live in a rented house belonging to the Hindus. It is about two kilometers from the school they teach.
The urgent activities we are called to undertake are the educational and pastoral ministry The school was opened a year ago with the help of the Canossian Sisters who worked for only three months and we have to take over in January. It is conducted in the old abandoned church which has been adapted, but it is far from meeting the requirements of a school. Classroom Entrance to the School The Old Church
The 32 students belong to the Catholic, Muslim and Hindu religions. The bishop has asked us to run the Kindergarten. So our children are between the age of three to six. School begins at 9 AM and ends PM. The children are very eager to learn. Their Syllabus includes value education or moral science, reading, mathematics, environmental studies, singing, music, rhymes, games, general knowledge, Languages “English and Marathi”. They have exams twice a year other activities like singing, fancy dress competition recitation, drawing, sports and various festivals
