Standards - the best thing the younger generation have never heard of economic, environmental, societal sustainability specifications best practice Standards - a way of getting academic research to market Standards - a way of helping academic institutions become more efficient and effective Standards – a way of helping students learn

3 Teaching standardization Knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience in standardization add value to professions and roles in many fields Increased students' awareness of the nature, impact and benefits of standards to markets and society, improves their ability to contribute to company performance and public welfare

4 ISO Collaboration with Academia ISO recognizes essential contribution from academia & has developed initiatives to: −Demonstrate appreciation of academia’s work −Encourage & support broader engagement of academia in standardization −Promote cooperation at many levels Today’s students are the managers and professionals of the future!
