Adware is a software that shows advertisements to the user of the computer. Adware shows related advertisements based on the user’s internet history Adware often becomes active when software is downloaded onto a computer with a type of Spyware program downloaded with it.
Spyware is neither a virus or a worm. Spyware does exploit an infected computer for commercial gain. Most common uses of spyware are advertising, identity theft, and monitoring of web activity for marketing purposes.
