Common Core Examples Focus on the Question Choose a student to bring in a set of data on Monday and each day pose a different problem about the data or have the students create the problems that they would be interested in knowing about. Students can rotate being the person to gather data. More Common Core Examples Eliminate It Students are presented with four math concepts and asked to decide on the one that should be eliminated and give clear reasoning on their choice Agree or Disagree Teacher or student poses a math statement and the students work together to agree to disagree, providing reasoning to justify their stance. In My Head? Students are presented with a handful of problems and they need to decide which can be done on paper and which can be done mentally and explain how.
