Who is Mrs. Cozart???? This is my first year at Clark, but my 5 th year teaching math. I have been in Irving. I grew up in Grapevine, TX. I graduated from CHHS. In high school, I was in colorguard, winterguard, band (Flute), and jazz band (piano). I also have played piano for 20 years and handbells for10. I went to Texas Tech University and have a BA in Marketing.

Who is Mrs. Cozart???? I was in sales for 3 years before I figured out TEACHING is where I was meant to be! I come from a long line of teachers. My mom, both aunts, many of my cousins, both grandmothers, and one of my grandfathers are all teachers. I have a rescue mut dog (Keele), who is my world! I got married this summer. So I will have to get use to you calling me Mrs. Cozart. I do not have any kids but I do have two nieces who I get to see all the time. Lily and Ruby.

Student Surveys You are going to get up around the room and move while you hear the music playing. You will need a notecard from me with a number on it as well as your warm up survey. When the music stops I will tell you who to find so listen carefully. I will then call out a number and you will share your answers with your partner. (30 sec each). We will end with me telling you were your new seats will be.

I expect the world of you, mostly because I know you can do it! I will not tolerate distractions from learning. Therefore, my rules are simple. Where do you see them? CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS & PROCEDURES

In order to be respectful of me, your fellow classmates and ultimately yourself, several things must happen: Take your learning seriously. Come to class ready to learn. Allow others to learn. Allow me to teach.

Manager Positions and Table Numbers Each table group has a number and each person at the table has a number…we will use these all year long as well. Let’s look at the manager positions and talk about each one. Applications due by this Friday. I will set up an interview time with each of you as you turn them in. They will need to be before or after school. (If needed I can do a few during lunch as well.) They will not last longer than a few minutes.

What are the other procedures and policies? Academic Dishonesty. Classroom Managers. “Clap once if you can hear me…” Absent/Make up work Homework Late Work Grades Bathroom Supplies When I’m done early Wait Time

I will now pass out conversation questions and you will take turns flipping over a question and each person will answer the question. You will have 20 seconds each. I will give you wait time before I start the clock.
