SIDCCO The USAID Tijara project has a Memorandum of Understanding to provide assistance to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals (MIM) As part of the work program, technical assistance is being provided to eight state-owned enterprises. The scope of work includes: –A review of the business plan for each selected SOE –Site visits and discussions with SOE management –Assistance in the development of new initiatives in the business plan –Training needs assessment and delivery of training (if required) A Business Action Plan was prepared in October 2011 and in this there was a number of recommendations and action plans to develop SIDCCO’s capacity and capabilities by seeking partnering arrangements with foreign companies.
