Notecard Warm-Up Get a notecard. Write your name on the lined space. Draw a cool picture on the blank side.

All things passwords, calendars, schedules, & lists.

Arrival Expectation When you show up, there will usually be a warm-up on the board, often a journal entry. Sit down and get to work on the assignment. There will be no talking or moving about during the warm-up. The warm-ups will usually last for five-ten minutes. No bathroom first and last ten minutes of class.

Tardy Policy Door will be closed and locked when the bell rings. If you’re not inside, you are tardy. Sorry! Tardy sweeps will take you to the English Office and record your name.

Behavior Expectations Give me your full attention. I’d rather not resort to hand signals or other silencers. Raise your hand for questions. You must contribute.

Phones Phones should be non-existent. I have the right to take any cell phone that appears in my classroom and put it in the Cell Phone Prison. I might verbally warn you to put away a phone. I might just take it. I’m especially harsh on repeat offenders.

Headphones Ask if you can have headphones in. Headphones might be allowed on a situational basis but never during instruction, group work, or discussion.

Food & Drinks No Okay, well, you can bring drinks.

Grading Post grades into Skyward within 5 days. 3 majors, 11 dailies, every 9 weeks.

Missing Work It is the student’s responsibility to gather and complete missing assignments. However, you CAN contact me to find out what you’re missing. My

Retesting Less than 75% can retest. Retesting (or a missed test date) will be taken during tutorials, not in class, unless otherwise noted. Max score is a 75%.
