What is WebAdvisor? WebAdvisor is an online system that allows students easier access to a number of Navarro College services. Advantages of WebAdvisor WebAdvisor gives students more flexibility and control in getting what they need throughout their college experience. Students can access their WebAdvisor accounts virtually anytime and anywhere Internet access is available.

Click the Log In tab

Enter your User ID. Your WebAdvisor User ID will be: first name + “dot” + last name (all lower case) (EX: John Doe = john.doe) Enter your Password. Your Password will initially be your six-digit date of birth (mmddyy). REMEMBER, changing your password in WebAdvisor DOES NOT automatically change your password in BlackBoard. Use this section to search the schedule of classes, express register, or add and drop classes.

This section lets you review your current and past academic information, and even allows you to apply for graduation when the time comes!

These sections allow you to update your account information, check your financial aid, and your faculty advisor.

In this section, you’ll see the courses you’re registered for this semester. Let’s look more closely at one the classes we’re taking this semester by clicking on one of the courses in the list.

Be sure and read all your course information carefully

The “Staff Information” button gives you access to additional contact information and office hours of your instructor

The “Communication” link is a great way to work with other students in the class. This feature is especially helpful when working on group assignments or online classes.

Always remember to Logout of Blackboard when you are finished by simply clicking here. This is critical if you are using a public computer!

Do All Instructors Use Blackboard? How much you use Blackboard will depend on how much information your instructor makes available using this system. One of your instructors may only post a little information (i.e., your syllabus and chapter notes), while another may choose to post announcements, discussion groups, tests, grades, and many other features.

As Always, please remember to logout when you are finished using WebMail Click “Compose Mail” to create a new message Since your Navarro College WebMail account is powered by Google (essentially Gmail), it is super easy to set up to receive messages on your smartphone or tablet!
