What is e-Commerce 4.x?

As of e-Commerce 4.0… Entry, authorization, and storage of credit card information now done on a Datatel partner payment provider’s website Colleague no longer stores encrypted credit card data –except for last 4 digits of the CC & encrypted expiration date CA continues to support recurring credit card donations E-Check processing does not change

Payment Gateway A.NET web application installed on an external facing Windows server Directs a user and relevant default payment data to your payment provider’s secure website Updates the pertinent payment confirmation information back in Colleague or Datatel Recruiter

When the CA e-Commerce 4.0 Update is Loaded Post Install Utility Removes encrypted credit card number and CVV2 data from all existing CA.PAYMENT records Disables Web Make a Gift and Web Make Pledge Payment Will need to re-enable once all e-Commerce Setup and Configuration is complete The Enterprise CRM (aka CORE) update also updates PAYMENT.METHOD records so that only those that are e- commerce enabled are usable on the web

Automatic and Recurring Payments All existing automatic credit card contributions need to be pre-authorized The expiration date and last 4 digits of the credit card used are still stored in CA AUTO/ADUE processes are still used to generate the automatic payments Credit card information must be re-entered on the payment provider site.

e-Commerce 4.0 File Changes New File: EC.PAY.TRANS Contains data for 1-time credit card payments ECT.LOG file still stores e-Check information as well as credit card transactions generated by AUTO/ADUE
