The button is used to toggle Privacy Mode On/Off, when Privacy is ON the LED indicator Will illuminate GREEN and the Intercom microphone is disabled To prevent eavesdropping. Operation of the orange Alarm Pullcord, any associated ceiling Pullcords or the radio pendants Will automatically override the Privacy mode for approx 15 minutes. The LED indicator will illuminate Red when an alarm call is initiated, the LED will extinguish when the call Is answered. Note: If the LED flashes red after the Call is cancelled the Intercom is Awaiting Extracare call cancellation. The LED will flash blue and a series of Tones will sound every 60 seconds When a message is waiting. The message can be heard by pressing the button.

Advent xt Intercom Unit If the Scheme Manager is unaware of any Flat Intercoms that are in ‘The PRIVACY MODE’ then he/she can simply enter code 5003* to LIST FLATS WITH INTERCOMS IN PRIVACY MODE. If a Flat Intercom (Master) is in Privacy Mode and the Flat has a (Slave) Intercom fitted, the Slave Intercom will also automatically be set to Privacy Mode as well, as the Slave Intercom’s button panel is constantly disabled.

Recording a message on a residents Intercom Unit When the House Manager calls a flat and the resident Is unavailable, the House Manager is able to leave a Message on the residents Intercom Unit. To record a message on a residents Intercom 1. Press the Green line key. 2. Wait for the ‘Ready’ prompt. 3. Enter the code 7000 followed by the ‘*’ (star) key. 4. Enter the Flat No. for which the message is intended. 5. Leave short message after the prompt (max 10 seconds) 6. Press the Red line key to clear the connection. Once the message has been recorded on the Intercom Unit, The LED will flash blue and a series of tones will sound every 60 seconds when a message is waiting. The message can be heard by pressing the button. The message can be repeated for up to 1 minute following its first playback before it is automatically deleted. The blue LED will extinguish when the message is played the first time.

Deleting a message from a residents Intercom Unit The House Manager can also delete unwanted messages left on residents Intercoms. To delete a message from a residents Intercom: 1. Press the Green line key. 2. Wait for the ‘Ready’ prompt. 3. Enter the code 7002 followed by the ‘*’ (star) key. 4. Enter the Flat No. for which the message is to be deleted followed by the ‘*’ (star) key. 5. Press the Red line key to clear the connection.

Listing all unanswered messages If the House Manager is unsure of which residents have Answered the messages, then he/she can list all unanswered Messages. To list all unanswered messages: 1. Press the Green line key. 2. Wait for the ‘Ready’ prompt. 3. Enter the code 7001 followed by the ‘*’ (star) key. 4. All flats with unanswered messages will be heard. 5. Press the Red line key to clear the connection.

Delete all residents Intercom messages The House Manager is also able to delete all Intercom Messages at once. To delete all Intercom messages: 1. Press the Green line key. 2. Wait for the ‘Ready’ prompt. 3. Enter the code 7003 followed by the ‘*’ (star) key. 4. Wait for the ‘Ready’ prompt. 5. Press the Red line key to clear the connection.

Parking an alarm call If the Advent xt system is permanently re-reporting an alarm call due to a fault condition, this can be ‘Parked’ using the Dect or Desk telephone. To ‘Park’ a constant call, answer and speak to the caller in the normal way then press the ‘5’ key to ‘Park’ the call and then clear the system down in the normal way. To ‘Park’ a constant call: 1. Press the Green line key. 2. Listen to the alarm message in the earpiece. 3. Press the ‘*’ (star) key to answer the call. 4. Press the ‘5’ key to ‘Park’ the call. 5. Press the Red line key to clear the connection.

Unparking a Parked Intercom To ‘Unpark’ a ‘Parked’ call: 1. Press the Green line key. 2. Wait for the ‘Ready’ prompt.. 3. Enter the Flat No. of the ‘Parked’ Intercom followed by the ‘*’ (star) key. 4. Press the ‘#’ to cancel the call. 5. Press the Red line key to clear the connection. Or Simply press RESET in the Central Control equipment.

Extra Care Intercom When a call is made from an Extracare Intercom it is reported and answered in the normal way but it cannot be permanently cleared until it has been visited and cancelled locally at the source. If normal cancellation is attempted the Intercom LED will flash RED and the call will simply re-report after a preset delay (typically 5 minutes).

Extra Care Intercom (with Slave Intercom) If a Slave Intercom is fitted, cancellation at source must be carried out at the Master Intercom ONLY NOT the Slave.
