K-12 Programs Introduce students to careers and opportunities in construction Block Kids  Chapter, Regional and National Competition 1 st -6 th grade students “Micro” size blocks (minimum 25/maximum 100) Three of the additional items:  Stone no more than 2” diameter  String no more than 12”  Foil no larger than 18” X 18”  Poster Board no larger than 18” X 18” Minimum 40 minutes/Maximum 1 hour to complete Must be construction-related

Adult Programs Construction Document Specialist (CDS)  Part One: Construction Working Drawings and Project Manual Tests students’ knowledge of the interpretation of information conveyed from architects and engineers to contractors by way of a legal document and implementation of that fundamental understanding  Part Two: Introduction to Construction Estimating and Scheduling The fundamentals of preparing estimates for major trades, general and job overhead, as well as accounting for allowances and alternates in the bid proposal are discussed. A step-by-step approach is provided for preparing project schedules utilizing the critical path method.
