CHRISTY HATTER About Me

MY EXPERIENCE My educational background  BA, Cornell College – Computer Science and Classical Studies  MS, Colorado School of Mines – Math and Computer Science  MBA, University of Iowa – Finance Concentration I’ve been teaching Risk Management & Technology and Communication in Business in the Mt. Mercy University Advance program since 2011 I have worked for Aegon / Transamerica since 1998 holding roles in technology, investment management, business development and internal audit. I am currently doing strategic business planning for our Investments and Retirement group. I’ve worked in offices in the US and Europe throughout my time with the company

MY FAMILY My husband and I eloped on February 29, 2000 after dating for four years. We told our families the day after we got married We chose to raise dogs rather than children and rescued our now 15 year old golden retriever, Greta, in Greta spends two days a week in doggie daycare which she absolutely loves. Here is a picture of Greta dressed up for her Pilgrims and Indians Thanksgiving party at daycare I was raised in Colorado and still go back at least once a year to visit family

MY INTERESTS I love to travel and have happily lost myself in museums around the world I am rarely without a book close by. I gravitate to biographies and the detective and action genres but will read just about anything except romance I don’t watch much television but I won’t miss an episode of NCIS and The Big Bang Theory. Having gone to an engineering school for my first Master’s degree, I actually know people who are just like the guys on TBBT!
