Individual Slides

Integumentary System MADE UP OF: Skin Hair Nails Associated Glands FUN FACT: Integumentary System is the largest organ system. Also skin is the largest organ in the body, about 12-15% of our body weight, with a surface area of about 1-2 meters FUNCTIONS: It serves as waterproof, cushion and protect the deeper tissues, excrete wastes, and regulate temperature. BY: KATIE

Skeletal System Made up of the 206 bones in the human body Function Protects internal organs such as the heart, brain, and lungs Supports the body “framework” Produces Red Blood Cells – red bone marrow in large bones (femur) Assist movement- bones are attached to muscles Store minerals- calcium/phosphorus and Release when body needs Made by Rita Slide by Rita

Muscular System Organs is made up of three different kinds of muscles: smooth, cardiac, and skeletal. Functions  Is made up of tissues that allow your body to move.  Voluntary muscles are controlled by the brain/ Nervous system.  Involuntary muscles that move regularly are moved consciously.  This system is connected to the skeletal system  Muscles also pump the blood through your body.  Smooth: (involuntary) Heart, Digestive  Cardiac: muscles that make up the heart  Skeletal: (voluntary) The muscles you control. By Kayla Butler

Cohesiveness

The Circulatory System Organs involved: heart, arteries, capillaries and veins The circulatory system is made up of the vessels and the muscles that help and control the flow of the blood around the body. By: Samantha Kelly

Nervous System.Organs involve: Brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.. The main role : relay electrical signals through the body; directs behaviour and movement; and, with the endocrine system, controls physiological processes such as digestion, circulation, etc. Marie Baumont

Integumentary System The external covering and protection of the body. Includes the skin, pores, sweat glands and hair follicles. Regulates fluids that come into and out of the body through the skin. Anna

Summary Slide

Summary SLEEPING While sleeping; your muscular system relax and rejuvenate damaged cells, your respiratory system regulates breathing and sometimes causes you to snore, your skeletal system hold the form of your body and creates red blood cells, hold your urine and if your over 3, hopefully, makes sure you don’t wet the bed, your nervous system sometimes causes you to twitch and have dreams, the circulatory system carries nutrients and transports oxygen and carbon dioxide, your integumentary system perspires to regulate temperature and holds in your guts, your lymphatic system will help you grow and will deliver nutrients to the cells.

Integumentary System: Allows us to sweat Skeletal System: Makes our legs and arms bend Muscular System: Helps maintain proper physical posture Nervous System: Activates the adrenal glands for energy Circulatory System: Pumps blood throughout body Respiratory System: Lets you breath heavily Digestive System: Before running you need to eat lots of carbs to get energy to run Endocrine System: helps maintain metabolism giving you the hormones needed to concentrate Lymphatic system: fights the germs we get from the baton Urinary System: keeps sodium and potassium needed for running in the body
