TestNav TestNav is Pearson’s proprietary, browser-based, test delivery application. No downloads are necessary for TestNav. TestNav is accessed over the Internet to deliver secure tests online. Accessible via link provided to students on authorization tickets.
Pearson TestNav Information & Security TestNav uses a standard browser to securely deliver test content and transmit student responses to Pearson servers. Authenticates user login credentials. Secure Student Authorization Ticket is used to access a test form. Encrypts and decrypts test content during delivery. Enforces desktop security to prevent students from accessing other applications and resources during testing. PearsonAccess allows the Test Proctor to efficiently and securely manage student online tests.
TestNav Performance & Reliability Supports a broad range of item and response types, from selected response and constructed response, to technology enhanced items, including drag and drop, hot spot, and simulations. TestNav uses Proctor Caching software, which downloads encrypted test content locally, increasing speed and reliability of online testing. TestNav Early Warning System (EWS) notifies proctors of connectivity issues while allowing the students to continue testing. EWS saves encrypted response data in the event of a network failure.
TestNav Student Login via Authorization Tickets Based on the TCAP and CoAlt Pre-ID files, student data has been loaded to PearsonAccess for districts participating in the field test. SACs will create individual Student Authorization Tickets with the following information: o TestNav browser URL o Username o Test code SACs will create and print the Student Authorization Tickets on or before April 24, The Student Authorization Tickets are secure materials that must remain in secure storage. SACs will distribute and then collect the tickets from Test Proctors on the day of testing.

The Sample Item ePATs provide students and educators the opportunity to interact directly with sample items in a non-secure setting. ePATs are not secured: no username or test code is required to launch an ePAT. Minimum Systems Requirements (provided to the DTC) apply to both TestNav and ePAT software. Please ensure the DTC has received, reviewed and confirmed the minimum system requirements and other technical documentation.
