List If you are planning on running cross country in the fall, please join the list asap. The list is how we do our communication throughout the season and the summer. Follow the directions on the Fairview website – Be sure to read the confirmation that you receive. Get on the Facebook group

August 17 – 1 st Day of Practice 5. August 28 – Team Time Trial (Also 1 st Day of School) 6. October 16 – Approximate end date of regular season 7. October 31 – State Championships

August 17 – first day of practice Prior to the first day of practice all students must fill out the Fairview Athletics Paperwork. Paper work should be turned in the week of August 10 th Prior to turning in paperwork all athletes are required to get a Physical. Please schedule your physical prior to August 10 th. Today is a good day to call your doctor about a physical.
1 st Day of Practice August 17 th is the first day of practice. You MUST have your physical and school paperwork complete. If you do not make it to the first day of practice, you will not be able to run in the first race of the season. The only exception to this will come from direct conversations with Coach Glaab
Uniforms Athletes that would like to have their own uniform, may order one this week. You should know that the school does provide uniforms, but we have the option for athletes to buy their own uniforms because many people don’t like to wear uniforms that have been worn by past athletes. Cross Country uniforms are designed to be worn with the bare minimum of underwear.

New to Running Goal by end of summer is to be able to run minutes 4 to 5 days a week Start at 15 to 20 minutes of easy running 3 days a week Add 5 minutes to your runs every other week
Summer Running Varsity level athlete – 45 to 55 minutes 5 to 6 days a week – start at 30 min 4 days a week Mid JV level athlete – 35 to 50 minutes 5 to 6 days a week – start at 25 min 3-4 days a week Aspiring JV – 30 to 45 minutes 4 to 5 days a week – Start at minutes 3 days a week
