Bioeconomy related policies are mentioned in three integrated strategies, which are included in the implementation of the Medium-Term Strategy for the Development of the Country: Strategy for Innovation and Efficiency of the Economy Strategy of Energy Safety and Environment Strategy for Sustainable Development of Agriculture, Rural Areas and Fisheries NATIONAL LEVEL
On 27th of August 2015 Regional Parliament of Lodzkie Region established Lodzkie as the first Bioregion in Poland. It means that a plan to transform the Lodzkie into one of the most innovative regions in Poland, with sustainable bioeconomy as a strategic approach, is becoming a fact. REGIONAL LEVEL
Regional Innovation Strategy (LORIS2030) identifies key smart specialisations of the region: Bio economy Advanced building materials Medicine, pharmacy, cosmetics IT and telecommunications Modern textiles and fashion industry (including design) Innovative agriculture and food processing Power engineering, including renewable energy sources Geothermal Unit in Uniejow MASPEX, POLINTEGRA, INCRI-BioM ADAMED
