Officer Roles Elections 2014

Year Long President, VP, Deli Managers, Treasurer, Advertising, Fundraising, Education Semester Long Partnership, Spirit Chair, Secretary, Mini-manager, Advertising sub unit Monday November 4 th President, Spirit Chair, Treasurer, Deli Managers Monday November 11 th Vice President, Advertising, Fundraising, Education, Mini Manager Monday November 18 th Secretary, Partnership, Advertising Sub-unit Year Long: all of 2014 Semester Long: Spring 2014

All positions – Weekly Duties 1-2 shift leads General meetings (Monday 7pm) Officer Meeting (Sunday 6-7:30) SGA Desk Hours (1-2hrs on your schedule) Log cheese points

President (Year Long: all of 2014) Run weekly officer/general meetings Main contact for FG World, UVM, Davis Center and other partners Over see all officer positions, check that everything is going smoothly, and give guidance when needed

Vice President Manage s – weekly meeting s, listserv Keep calendar up to date – remind officers of upcoming events Oversee all officer duties, check in with progress, help when needed Take over president responsibilities when they are unable

Deli Managers (2 partners in crime) Keep the kiosk running Must have at least 1 car Must be food safety certified or willing to take 2-3 hour online course Coordinate pick up of bread, cheese, produce, etc. Keep inventory of ingredients and keep magic room/kiosk organized Ensure prep goes smoothly twice a week and kiosk is stocked for selling days – communicate with Prep-manager Develop/maintain meaningful relationships with donors/partners. Seek out new partners and ingredients throughout the year.

Treasurer Manage all monetary expenditures Keep track of and revise budget Teach others all things money related – iPad register, cashbox rules, how to purchase items Keep track of purchases for events Deposit money from kiosk sales Deli reports on Cheese world Fill out and keep track of purchase orders for Deli Managers Ensure change is in the cash box at all times

Spirit Chair (Semester) Oversee Cheese World and encourage its use In charge of member retainment and recruitment – flyers for first meeting, activity fairs, tabling, posters Coordinate Bread and Cheese Buddy System One bonding event per month Official Mascot – get the sammie suit out and around campus (Or train others on how to be awesome at it!) 5 Minute icebreaker at each meeting

Secretary Update google doc sign ups Print sign up sheets and bring to Monday meeting Take notes at officer and general meetings Write thank you notes to our partners “Snapshots” after general meeting on Cheeseworld

Prep- Manager (Mini-Manager) Run prep twice a week (or when needed for special events) Communicate with deli managers Wash rags Help the deli managers keep magic room clean

Education Educate the club, campus, and community on what FG and THP do to end world hunger Create poster campaigns, table, chalk, etc.. Speak at general meetings approx. 1/month Speak at any events, classes, or local schools Keep THP info available at kiosk

Partnerships Build and maintain on/off campus partnerships (non-deli donations related) Manage club weekly special partnerships (special weekly sammies) Build connections off campus (business and organizations) Work with other clubs to plan events

Fundraising Raise money outside of the deli – events, campaigns, merchandise, etc. Recruit committee to help reach goals Reach goal from VCA

Advertising Chair Weekly meetings with unit Advertise for special events (flyers, facebook events, etc.) Keep social media up to date (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,Blog) Keep magic room windows and kiosk displays up to date and professional Advertise for weekly kiosk – through banners, posters, stickers, etc. “Leadership Labs” on Cheese World

Advertising Committee Social Media – Update twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and blog weekly. Post pictures, event reminders, any FG info. Two “advertising designers”- Interested in art or graphic design to make posters, edit websites, take pictures, design banners, paint the mural, create master pieces for the windows or anything else wonderful you can think up! All committee members assist the advertising chair in projects and meet on a weekly basis
