EARLY LIFE Born February 17 th 1981 in L.A. He was the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz at four years old. He stared in many commercials like Pop-Tarts, Cocoa Puffs, Sunny Jim peanut butter, and Kinney Shoes. By age six, he was in many films ( Angels in the Outfield, Beethoven ).

EARLY LIFE CONT. While attending Van Nuys High School in 1996, he played Tommy Solomon on the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun. He was frequently featured in many teen magazines, something he resented. In 1999, he was in 10 Things I Hate About You He went to Columbia University in 2000, but dropped out in 2004 to focus on acting.

FAMILY His father was a news director for the Pacifica Radio Station. His mother ran for the United States Congress in California during the 1970s for the Peace and Freedom Party and the founder of the Progressive Jewish Alliance. His older brother, Dan, a photographer and fire spinner, died in 2010.

LATER CAREER -Decided he only wanted to be in good movies. -Acted in Manic, Mysterious Skin, Brick, Latter Days, The Lookout, Killshot, Stop-Loss, (500) Days on Summer, G.I. Jo: The Rise of the Cobra, Inception, 50/50, Hesher, Django Unchained, A River Runs Through It, Treasure Planet, Shadowboxer, Miracle at St. Anna, Uncertainty, Women in Trouble, Electric Luxx, Havoc, and The Dark Night Rises.

FUTURE MOVIES - Going to star in Premium Rush, Looper, and Lincoln, which have not been released yet.
