Insert presentation title here and change text to BLACK Media Towers Watson Data Services Introduction ACC, the Association of Communication Companies in Belgium, requested Towers Watson to submit a proposal to undertake a customized salary survey similar to exercises lead by the association in the past but enhancing its scope. In order to benchmark approx. 30 generic communication roles, ACC wishes to conduct the survey amongst its members during Towers Watson proposes to use its proprietary survey methodology to produce access to compensation data collected amongst the members of ACC. Minimum number of companies required is 7. ACC will send an introductory letter to all its members and will provide Towers Watson with the list of companies with correct contact names, addresses and telephone numbers. Towers Watson will collect job descriptions from ACC and match across the jobs and levels available in the Towers Watson Media Compensation Survey 2015 (see Appendix 1). This will be discussed with the ACC up front. To ensure correct data delivery, Towers Watson will conduct a job matching kick-off meeting with ACC and the companies having shown their interest in said survey and will illustrate the Data Submission Workbook in excel format the mapping of the roles and a Survey Participant Guide (Containing job list overview and job codes).

The suggested reference date for data collection is May-June The approach to data collection and reporting is an all incumbent’s survey in which all salary data points for a given position are considered in the calculations rather than a selection of the most representative ones. In order to ensure a meaningful representation of all participating companies in the results, statistical domination may apply to certain roles. The companies participating to the survey will deliver their data directly to Towers Watson so that the information received is handled in accordance with our data confidentiality protocols. Towers Watson will update ACC on the data collection process. Towers Watson will ensure the follow up to the data collection within agreed deadlines.

CompSource unifies the market data with integrated, high-end analytical capabilities to create a dynamic and secure system that allows users to design customized reports in a variety of formats. Roles are reported back, per job code, when at least three companies have provided data. The descriptive statistics presented in the compensation tables are: –Average –10th Percentile –25th Percentile –50th Percentile or Median –75th Percentile –90th Percentile Reporting Rules: –At least 3 companies and 3 incumbents: average, median –At least 3 companies and 5 incumbents: average, 25 th pct., median, 75 th pct. –At least 3 companies and 10 incumbents: average, 10 th pct., 25 th pct., median, 75 th pct. 90 th pct. Any information disseminated is aggregated so that individual company data cannot be identified and Towers Watson ensures and maintains the confidentiality of individual company data. Statistics –Towers Watson Data Services publishes statistics only when a sufficient sample exists. All published statistics are consistent with recognized statistical standards and principles. –Dominance cap - In order to ensure a meaningful representation of all participating companies in the results, statistical domination rules will apply per job code. No company can have an impact of more than 34% on the compensation elements per match. If needed a relative weighting factor can be applied. –Calculation of elements – All provided elements will be calculated independently from each other.

During this meeting Towers Watson will also provide a training on CompSource (Advanced Version) of the survey tool.
