After every member of the team has completed his/her assignment, your group must combine the research in a final presentation for the school lunch manager. Task IntroductionIntroduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion TaskProcessEvaluationConclusion

Process CONSUMER You must submit one complete lunch menu for the proposal. Make a list some of your favorite foods. Include foods from each food category. Use the following website to review the food categories: Use the foods from your list to plan one complete lunch menu that you would want to eat. Be sure to follow the meal requirements given in the handout. Submit your lunch menu to the marketing specialist for market research. Use the Internet to locate recipes for your menu. For example, if you choose spaghetti as a menu item then you must find a recipe for spaghetti. Fill in the ingredient list worksheet using your recipes and submit it to both the nutritionist and the business manager. The nutritionist and business manager may ask you to adjust your menu to fit certain nutrition requirements or budget guidelines. Collaborate with them until your meal satisfies the given criteria. Process NUTRITIONIST You must complete a nutritional analysis for the proposed menu. Using the ingredient list provided by the consumer, conduct a nutritional analysis. Use the following website to identify nutritional data for each food item: Enter the information on the nutritional analysis worksheet. Ensure that the proposed menu satisfies the nutritional requirements outlined in the handout. If the menu does not fit the given criteria, return it to the consumer with suggestions for adjustments. Process MARKETING SPECIALIST You must conduct market research about the proposed menu. Design a survey that will ask students’ opinions about the proposed menu. Include at least 100 students in your sample set. Complete the survey by school or in-person. Compile and present your findings using graphs or charts created with Excel. Ensure that the proposed menu satisfies the popularity requirements outlined in the handout. If the menu does not fit the given criteria, return it to the consumer with suggestions for adjustments. Process GROUP COLLABORATION Your group must create a proposal to your school’s lunch manager. Use a program such as Excel, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, or MSWord to design a proposal that will convince the school lunch manager to include your meal in the school’s lunch menu. Include an introduction that states what action you wish the school lunch manager to take and a conclusion that states why the manager should take such action. Include back-up data such as the recipes, nutritional analysis, budget analysis and market research. Be sure to document all sources. Ensure that the design of the proposal is aesthetically pleasing, is easy to understand and includes appropriate pictures, charts or graphs.
