Timmins has 18 operating mines within a 300km radius and 60 active exploration companies. Goldcorp’s Hollinger Project is one of the most significant mining projects ever undertaken by Goldcorp’s Porcupine Gold Mines (PGM). A unique example of sustainable mining - underground mine in transformation to an open pit and revitalization into a sustainable green space, in the middle of Timmins downtown core. Primero’s Black Fox Gold Complex has both open pit and underground operations, feeding the 2,200 tonne-per-day mill.
