Saturn By: Savannah and Christina

Surface Features  Saturn is 292 Degrees Fahrenheit  Color: Butterscotch  Saturn doesn’t have a surface so astronauts cant go in it, the only part they can go on is the large chunks that makes up the planets rings  The surface of Saturn is not solid, but it has several layers of gases and liquid metallic compounds.

Location from the sun  900,000,000 miles away from the sun  6 planets from the sun

Interesting facts  The mass is,  The volume is 744  Saturn is the second-largest planet in our solar system after Jupiter, which is about 20% larger than Saturn.  It has 18 moons in it  Saturn’s rings are made up of a jumble of small particles.  Nearly 1,600 Saturn’s could fit inside the Sun

Comparison Earth Saturn  70 percent of the Earth is covered by water.  30 percent is covered by land.  The Earth is 93 million miles from the Sun on average.  The astrological name for Earth is “Terra.”  The Earth is about 4.5 billion years old.  Saturn has over 30 known Satellites, but many of them are small.  The temperature difference between the poles and the equator is very small on Saturn.  They named Saturn after the Roman God of agriculture.
