Learning Targets I can identify natural landforms and waterways on various physical maps. I can locate major land regions in North and South America.

What is a Physical Map? In addition to country borders, major cities and significant bodies of water, physical maps indicate the location of landforms like deserts, mountains and plains.

How is a Political Map different? Political maps show governmental boundaries of countries, states, and counties, the location of major cities, and they usually include significant bodies of water. Bright colors are often used to help the user find the borders
