Mission Our mission is to: Safeguard and promote the rights and best interests of children and young people by listening to them and working with them to challenge and change the world in which they live.

Priority Areas for Action 2005 to 2008 Implementation and Civil Liberties[1][1]  Having your say  Knowing Your Rights  Implementation of the UNCRC Education Special educational needs Bullying Road safety & School transport Play and leisure Facilities for leisure for all children and young people and the development of a Play strategy Health, material well- being and environment Children and Young People and mental health Poverty Children and Young People with disabilities Children and young people and Risk-taking behaviour Family life and alternative care Safeguarding children and young people[2][2] Physical Punishment Youth Justice Children, Young People and Crime Children, Young People and the troubles [1][1] These are underpinning priorities derived from the duties in our legislation which are central to everything we do. [2][2] Including Children and Young People who are in contact with Social Services
