Introduction Pollution is as complicated as serious problem. Air, water and soil are necessary for existence of all living things. Polluted water kills fish and other marine life. On polluted soil, food can not be grown. In addition environmental pollution spoils the natural beauty of our planet.

Flora and fauna of Novorossiysk are unique things. 63 relics and 250 medicinal kinds of plants growing in Novorossiysk are in the «Red Book» of Russia.

Main concerns The main dirties of atmosphere in my town are: transport, factory «Novoroscement», «Charnomortransneft», «Sea Trading Port», «Red engine» and so on. Novorossiysk is on the 21st place of the most polluted towns of Russia.

A large problem of Novorossiysk is a throng. Novorossiysk needs a recycling factory. The suggestions are going from Germany and France, government don’t give money to build such factories. Automobiles and other new inventions are polluting the air and the water but they provide jobs for people and produce necessary goods.

Every day cement factories pollutes the atmosphere with about 1000 tons of dust and other harmful substances. There are many marl in the mountains surrounding the Novorossiysk’s harbor. The growth of polluting substances is connected with increasing of production of factory “Novoroscement”.

The ships of our harbor throw garbage in to the sea, the water of rains with different rubbish and canalization is put in the Black sea too. The citizen observe deforestation of “Pioneer’s grove” for building houses.

The steps for saving the nature in Novorossiysk. People would have to stop using many useful things, that pollution was to end. Most people do not want that of course. Environmental protection is of a universal concern. But pollution can be reduced gradually. Scientists and engineers can find the ways to reduce pollution from automobiles and factories. Government can pass the laws that would make enterprises take measures for reducing of pollution. As many as 159 countries – members of the UNO – have set up environmental protection agencies. The international organization Greenpeace is also doing much to preserve the environment. Individuals and groups of people can work together to persuade enterprises to stop polluting activities.

But these only the initial steps and they must be carried onward to protect nature, to save life on the planet not only for he sake of the present but also for the suture generations.

In spring the Mayor of Novorossiysk organizes “cleaning up days”, but it isn’t enough. People don’t throw away publish in the street. I think we should hang large posters and instructions in public and other places to remind people about the environment and their own health.
