Rationale (from CA Draft Framework & Appendix K): Recommended HS Pathway: 3-Course model with Earth and Space Science (ESS) & Engineering Integrated Rationale (from CA Draft Framework & Appendix K): Organized into science disciplines that match a common HS course sequence of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Course titles: Living Earth: Integrating Biology and Earth Science Chemistry of the Earth System: Integrating Chemistry & Earth Science Physics in the Universe: Integrating Physics and Earth & Space Science The integration adds value to disciplines and ESS and Engineering Combines all Performance Expectations into 3 courses Pathway selected by SCUSD Science Teachers Timeline for Implementation: TBD
