Do Now Take five minutes to print out your business cards if you did not have time yesterday.

Today’s Objectives Do Now: Do Now: Take five minutes to print out your completed business cards. Lesson: Lesson: Playing with Publisher: Greeting Cards. Activity: Activity: Creating a Birthday Card!

Continuation with MS Publisher This week, we will continue learning about MS Publisher by creating a variety of small documents. Yesterday, you finished your business cards. Today, you will be creating birthday cards! In the Groupshare folder, you will find the Word document – ‘Greeting Card.’ In this document, you have been given text and pictures to use in your birthday card.

Greeting Card Assignment Directions: Open a Publisher document – choose ‘Greeting Cards’ and then scroll down to the ‘Blank Sizes.’ Here, you may choose one of the following that is circled below:

Greeting Card Assignment Once you have chosen your layout style, create a birthday card using the text and pictures provided. Choose a message for the front page of your card. Ex. Happy Birthday!

Greeting Card Assignment Choose one or more pictures for the front page of your card. After you choose a picture, you will have to color it. You can put color into the picture by using MS Paint. Pay attention to detail!

Greeting Card Assignment Once you have formatted the front cover and the card includes both text and pictures, move on to the inside of the card. In here, you will choose one of the longer messages. Be sure to format the text on the page. If you would like to, you may include another picture in the inside of the card. This is not mandatory.

Greeting Card Assignment Finally, move on to the back of the card. On the lower bottom of the card, create a logo. See below for a professional example:

Your Task Follow the directions on your assignment sheet in order to complete the Greeting Card Assignment.

Today’s Objectives Activity: Activity: Continue creating your Birthday card! *Remember to include: - Cover Page with painted pictures and text - Inside Page with formatted text - Back page with original logo
