R ESEARCH P APER G UIDELINES Works cited page Purpose: to inform your reader (aka – teacher) what your sources were and where they came from Goal: to provide a clear, well-documented source Think – if I had to track down this article from scratch, could I do it with the information I am providing? Structure: very, very simple Alphabetical order by the first letter of the citation No bullet-points, numbers, arrows, or any other line indicators Reverse indentations (first line is all the way to the left and every other line is indented. No line breaks – sources should continue to the end of each line Double-spaced
