Peer reviewed = refereed Article is evaluated by peers = same competence as author Articles are most often a primary source like a description of an experiment, a survey…but in the databases you also find: Review = in our context stands for literature review A secondary source as it is a summary of current knowledge on a certain topic collected from many primary sources
