WELCOME! Who is T&T Power Group? What can we do for you? Why are we here today? Questions?

Who is T&T Power Group? T&T Power Group stems from humble roots in the service sector providing generator maintenance and emergency response service to local customers. From here we have grown to a company with the same core values, but a larger servicing area, and a wider range of products and product support for our customers. We services thousands of generators across Canada in all major sectors. We understand the importance of service and sales, and our differing departments work cohesively to serve a common goal; the satisfied consumer. We provide temporary power systems in the events of failure, and 24/7 emergency response to all customers. Our capabilities are unlimited when it comes to the manufacture, sales, and service of your power generation equipment, and we look forward to working with you on your next project.

OTHER CODE REQUIREMENTS CSA Standard B139, Installation Code for Oil- Burning Equipment This Code was developed in cooperation with the Canadian Standards Association, publishers of CAN/CSAB139. Storage tank systems that fall within the scope of CAN/CSA B139 are predominantly furnace oil tanks and storage tanks containing diesel fuel and connected to standby emergency power generators.

OTHER CODE REQUIREMENTS NFPA 110 NFPA 110 provides performance requirements for emergency and standby power systems to provide reliable auxiliary power to supply critical and essential needs during outages of the primary power source. This Standard covers installation, maintenance, operation, and testing requirements as they pertain to the performance of the emergency power supply system, including power sources, transfer equipment, controls, supervisory equipment, and all related electrical and mechanical auxiliary and accessory equipment.

BRANDS WE COMMONLY SERVICE:

Let’s touch on this one really quick...

You NEED to have properly trained technicians and experienced generator companies work on your equipment! Make sure you ask your service company if they are an EGSA member.

IS your equipment being properly maintained?? You’ve made the investment in your emergency standby generator. Make sure your investment is going to be there when you need it most.

Oil System failure This is an Oil pan is from an Engine that has had a catastrophic failure. The Generator was not serviced on a regular program with no oil change for many years. This is just an example of what can happen with no maintenance program. Let us design and implement a program specific to your needs.

Cooling System failure Think of this as “The other life blood” of your engine Should be tested annually Must be replaced every 5 years Use proper coolant for engine type

Cooling System failure

Ten Common Reasons Why Your Power System May Leave You In the Dark. 1)BATTERY SYSTEM FAILURE 2)CONTROL SYSTEM ISSUES 3)COOLING SYSTEM PROBLEMS 4)FUEL SYSTEM PROBLEMS 5)AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH (ATS) OR SWITCHGEAR ISSUES 6)CIRCUIT BREAKER PROBLEMS 7)INTAKE/EXHAUST VALVE PROBLEMS 8)GENERATOR WINDING ISSUES 9)LUBRICATION PROBLEMS 10)WET STACKING AND CARBON BUILD UP

ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS ARE EASILY AVOIDED WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE! 1)BATTERY SYSTEM FAILURE 2)CONTROL SYSTEM ISSUES 3)COOLING SYSTEM PROBLEMS 4)FUEL SYSTEM PROBLEMS 5)AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH (ATS) OR SWITCHGEAR ISSUES 6)CIRCUIT BREAKER PROBLEMS 7)INTAKE/EXHAUST VALVE PROBLEMS 8)GENERATOR WINDING ISSUES 9)LUBRICATION PROBLEMS 10)WET STACKING AND CARBON BUILD UP

How do you make sure your equipment is being properly maintained? Follow the CSA 282 guidelines Have properly trained personnel performing the maintenance. Change engine oil at least every 12 months Monitor and test cooling system annual.
