Uniform All staff receive T-shirt, shorts from the pool if they don’t already have one On deck staff also receive whistle All staff must provide their own swim suit and on deck footwear Staff must provide clothing suitable for maintenance All other tops and shorts must be approved prior to wearing on deck or in the office

Uniform (continued) When working on deck (instructing or guarding), staff are required to wear Pool T-shirt or other approved tops, shorts, swim suit, whistle as the situation requires When working in office, staff are required to wear Pool T-shirt or other approved tops, and shorts When performing maintenance, Pool T-shirts and shorts are not to be worn if they could be stained, discolored, or otherwise damaged

Uniforms (continued) All parts of the deck/office uniform are to be kept in clean and orderly condition Staff will be required to purchase replacement for lost or damaged uniform parts Uniform is for staff, not their friends/family Just a reminder of potential legal ramifications of wearing apparel with words such as “Lifeguard”, “Guard”, “Pool Staff” when not at [name of pool]

Safety Equipment All staff will be issued a pair of safety glasses, and a dust mask There are two chemical masks available There are several types of gloves available There is a full protective suit as well as boots and a protective apron

Safety Equipment Safety Equipment is to be worn as required for the job at hand Safety Equipment is to be returned to its assigned place after usage. WHMIS labels are in place – be cognizant of the chemicals we use Follow safe handling rules for chemicals Be ready to activate emergency procedures
