Who am I I am Chinese and I come from Beijing. I have finished my bachelor and master degrees in Beijing. I am now a graduate school student at the University of Rhode Island,majoring in Education. Why do I want to be a teacher? Teaching is giving. I am the person who is ready to share and help others. I want to be a teacher, since I know how deeply a teacher could influence one’s life and perspectives. I want to be a teacher because I am not satisfied with the Chinese education system. I want to learn the theory of teaching and in return provide students more opportunities in critical thinking.

My philosophy of teaching

Consequences Strike One: Verbal warning Strike Two: Extra homework Strike Three: Lunch and after school detention Strike Four: Call home Strike Five: Sent to the office

Positive Behavioral Intervention System  Tier 1 Clarify and discuss behavior expectations and procedures Acknowledge students’ positive behaviors Stay consistency of the rules towards misbehaviors  Tier 2 Provides more intensive intervention and monitoring Increase support around students and provide an individual plan for success  Tier 3 Behavior meeting involves with students and parents Behavior contracts and daily behaviors forms are used.
