Humans looking for Aliens By Suzie Kim

Who? NASA Alan Boss - an astronomer with the Carnegie Institution and author of the new book. "The Crowded Universe: The Search for Living Planets“ other scientists and researchers

What? scientists are making predictions that the Galaxy may be full of "earths", or alien life: an analysis suggests that there could be hundreds, even thousands of intelligent civilizations in the Milky Way Boss has predicted that there are likely to be some type of life, "Now that's not saying that they're all going to be crawling with intelligent human beings or even dinosaurs, but I would suspect that the great majority of them at least will have some sort of primitive life, like bacteria or some of the multicellular creatures that populated our Earth for the first 3 billion years of its existence". in a paper published recently in the "International Journal of Astrobiology", the researchers concluded that based on what they saw, at least 361 intelligent civilizations have emerged in the Milky Way since its creation, and as many as 38,000 may have formed

NASA is hoping to find much more habitable worlds with the help of the upcoming Kepler mission the spacecraft is to be launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida next week, will search for Earth-size planets in our part of the galaxy is predicted that scientists should know by the end of Kepler's mission - whether life in the universe could be widespread Where?

Where? NASA

Why? stream of curiosity from scientists, researchers, and astronomers whom predict that "alien life" may exist within the Galaxy search for inhabitable worlds where intelligent civilizations may exist How do I feel about this?

How do I feel? astounded: that we now have the modern technology to actually search for alien life, which was left as a mystery between scientists for years curious: whether it is true that civilizations like us may exist somewhere far off the galaxy, and what actions we, including the US government, will take if such civilizations are discovered

How is it related to past history? Age of Exploration: new maritime technologies were developed that enabled European nations to sail their ships further than they had ever sailed before to discover new lands, people, and resources first started by Portugal's Prince Henry in 1450 and later Christopher Columbus's voyage to the America's in 1492 Similar, as people "explore" through mysterious worlds that were undiscovered as technology developes
