Discover the Dosmatic Difference Maintaining your Dosmatic injector for years of service.

Congratulations You’ve purchased the best chemical injector available No extra cost for proprietary composite body, which exceeds PVDF for chemical compatibility and for mixing aggressive chemicals. No extra cost for built-in on/off switch, which allows user to stop the injection—but not the system. Separate internal mixing chamber to prevent chemical contact with motor piston—for longer life and uniform mixing. Highest standard operating pressure in the industry, Minimizing pressure surge damage. Industries Best 3 Year Limited Warranty

To adjust the ratio setting: SuperDos 15, 20, 30 or 45 A12-1%, A15, A20, A30, or A40 model Pull out the upper pin and rotate the ratio adjuster until the desired setting is directly above the top edge of the ratio adjuster, do not remove stainless steel clip when under water pressure! If you are adjusting the: MiniDos 0.4%, 1%, 2.5% or 5% A12 2.5% or 5%, TurboDos 100 or 200 Rotate the ratio adjuster until the lines of the desired setting are lined up with the white marker in the center of the ratio adjuster.

You will notice numbers appear on the left and right sides of the ratio sleeve on most models one side lists an injection percentage, and one side gives the ratio of solution being injected to water passing through the unit. These numbers are really the same. For example, the number on the left side is 2.5 which equal 2.5%. The equivalent to the right side is the number 40, which is the denominator of the ratio 1:40. The number 1 divided by 40 equals.025 or 2.5% and so on. Remember, when determining the setting for your ratio adjuster; always use common units of measure for both solution and water – e.g. gallons to gallons or ml to ml. Ratio and Percentage settings on the injector:

Do I need to calibrate my injector? Yes, because all injectors are mechanical pieces of equipment and wear on parts is inevitable over time (depending upon the amount of use). EC(electrical conductivity) or TDS (total dissolved solids) meters can be used to verify accuracy. Regular maintenance of the o-rings and dosage piston (wear parts) will help prevent deviations from the selected dosage. Do I need to bleed or purge the air in my injector? No. There should be no need to bleed the injector, as the water flow will force air through the line. When a tank feed, low pressure or low flow system is installed with the injector being the highest point in the system; a low flow might cause air to be trapped in the line. Operate injector at higher flow until air is out of the system.

Combining two chemicals in the solution tank can produce a chemical reaction that could damage the injector, or even an explosion resulting in personal injury. To use two or more chemicals at the same time, you can install injectors in a series. When installing in a series, you should use a Dosmatic remote injection kit to protect the injectors. If a remote injection kit is not used with a series installation, then the first chemical solution becomes the inlet water for the second injector, and, depending upon the chemical, this could damage the second (or subsequent) injector motors. Can I inject two or more chemicals at the same time?

Can I use hot water to dissolve my chemical? When using a water-soluble chemical, make sure it is thoroughly dissolved before opening the inlet water and starting the injector. You may dissolve the chemical in hot water, if necessary and if the chemical will not be damaged, but allow the water to cool before using. Some chemicals may be damaged with hot water so be sure to check with your chemical manufacturer before adding hot water. Failure to thoroughly dissolve the chemical being injected will cause premature wear to the dosage piston and the cylinder.

Is back pressure always required? Yes, the Dosmatic injectors require that the outlet line always be under pressure while in operation. Under normal operating conditions a minimum of at least 3 PSI pressure is required on the outlet or solution can siphon through the injector during operation and cause erratic ratio feeding. The minimum of 3 PSI is required at all times, even when water is flowing, to properly seat the Check Valve (# 13 in your parts list), and prevent siphoning or over feeding. Any pressure from 3 PSI up to 85 PSI is acceptable (depending on model).

What lubricant should I apply to the o-rings of my injector? Dosmatic injectors are shipped with a thin coat of silicone around the seals as a precautionary measure before the injector is put in use. Reapplying silicone is not necessary unless an extended storage period is anticipated. Petroleum based lubricants such as Vaseline®, baby oil, WD 40®, motor oil, etc. should never be used on the O-rings or any part of the injector as this can cause a chemical reaction, damage to the o-rings, or particles to adhere and clog or damage the injector. Call Dosmatic at (800) or Or contact your local

Preventive Maintenance Dosmatic suggests that you always keep inlet water line and solution filters installed and clean. The solution container liquid should also be kept clean and covered. Never operate the injector at a water pressure or water flow outside the recommended range for the model installed. Dosmatic recommends that you change the o-rings and dosage piston (wear parts) at least once a year, preferably every six months, depending upon usage. Rinse or flush out unit periodically with fresh water by injecting clear water for minutes. Long term storage; immerse the entire unit in water, place in a area that is above 32°Farenheit and 0° degrees Celsius.
