Nowadays, there is growing concern about the lack of communication between adolescents and the senior. As is often the case, teenagers find it more comfortable to share their feelings with their classmates instead of parents or teachers. So important is the communication between both generations that the absence of it will surely lead to a diverse variety of problems. For one thing, the growing misunderstandings turn out to be the direct consequence of communication decrease. For another, failure in effective communication keeps teenagers from turning to their parents or teachers for advice and aid. In my perspective, the reasons are better worth reflecting on than the phenomenon itself. There is no denying that the increasing popularity of social network is to blame for weakening teenagers’ capability of expressing their feelings to others in person. Anyway, appropriate use of online communication is called for to settle the problem.

Growing up is not a very enjoyable time. It means we have to work hard. As for my childhood, my parents made me learn to play the violin so I had no time to play with other friends. I was very annoyed. I hated music, just because it was what they wanted me to do. Sometimes I felt puzzled and trapped. I even didn’t understand why I was a child. Now looking back, I am so glad that my parents encouraged me to take music lessons. Music can enrich my life. I come to realize my parents are always pushing me along. Everybody is to experience growing pains, which are just small pains in life. A little hard work and sweat never hurt us. If we realize these pains are just small bumps on our road to success, we will realize our growing pains are actually growing gains.

There was a time when I was well prepared by my parents, safe and fearless. Never before had I thought the day I had to leave home for study came so quickly. What I was to face in another city were new surroundings, unfamiliar people and difficulties to live alone. At first, the sudden change posed a great challenge to me and I was totally at a loss. Fortunately, I has gradually fitted myself in the new life. I didn’t know how to get along with different people while now I realize all I need is sincerity and kindness from the bottom of my heart. I was unable to bear the time when left alone while I am now capable of enjoying every single moment. Thanks to the new life, I has grown into an more independent person.

Nothing can be more disappointing than your family’s disapproval of your ambition. On our way to success lie many challenges, and only if we face them bravely can we reach our goal. Never will I forget the scene where I stood in the front of the classroom with face burning… Only from that terrible experience did I truly understand the importance of independence and form a sense of responsibility for my life.

There are always a lot of pains we would suffer when we grow up. Maybe it is an embarrassing moment or a tough task. But during the progress of overcoming the difficulties, we also gain a lot.

For our way to success is not likely to be smooth all the way. There are numerous obstacles in store for us, which prepare us to be strong, determined and persistent.

Gone are the days when I had trouble communicating with others. Thanks to the unpleasant experience, I have learned a lot. I realize that it was not my ability but lack of confidence that kept me away from others. Everyone may have difficulty in learning one thing or another, but if we have a positive attitude towards it, we will finally make it. As the saying goes: nothing is impossible to a willing heart.
