Renewing Software Assurance Benefits Can only be done through a Microsoft reseller: – Charity Open Licensing (where Charity Open Licensing is available), or – Commercial Open Licensing (in countries where Charity OLis not available). The renewal must be completed before the SA expiration date for that product (listed in VLSC) Renewals are done on a per-product basis You must renew a minimum of 5 licenses at a time Renewals are granted for 2 years The cost to renew is approximately 1/3 of the Charity or Commercial Open Licensing listed FMV of the product (Charity Open Licensing will likely be cheaper than Commercial Open Licensing) You will need the product’s Authorization Number, the date the SA benefits expire (both available from VLSC), a credit card, and Renewed benefits take three to five business days to appear in the VLSC

The renewal price per license was $47, so the total came to $235.
