MUSIC VIDEO IDEAS BY JACK POWER

INTRODUCTION Firstly, I would like to address that I like making videos about games and that’s what the main topic would be on. For the videos I am thinking about doing it would be difficult to do but it would be so fun to produce. However, with this I would find some trouble to get people to like it. Additionally, some people would think that it is difficult to get the shots in a game, however it’s not like this at all. Many games nowadays have spectating features and you can record and get shots that way.

IDEA 1: A CSGO MONTAGE For this idea, it’s a bit different but I would use a song by the NoCopyrightsounds group such as Tobu – Hope. Or I would use the song Final Striker, which does not have a song yet for it. Then I would jump onto the game Counter-Strike Global Offensive, and I would get several clips of doing ‘Trick shots’. Additionally, I would change the perspective between first person and third person and spectate the character. My main inspiration for this is this isn’t really an inspiration as I have had this idea for a long time, but more of an example of what it would look like. This gives a rough idea of what its about.

IDEA 2: GTA STUNT MONTAGE Like the CSGO montage but this time its on Grand Theft Auto but with vehicle stunts I would use the song Flo Rida ft Sage the Gemini GDFR instrumental because for some reason it goes very well with vehicle stunts. I would use lots of different camera angles in the game to give a good effect.

IDEA 3: SPACE CINEMATIC This third idea for the music video is to create a narrative space cinematic where it tells a story. For this I would go onto Elite Dangerous and film my friend (and myself) flying around. I’d have to create a story to go off of but its definitely possible. Additionally, I would probably like to use a movie soundtrack because it would go with space.

IDEA 4: COMEDIC CAR TYPE MUSIC VIDEO For this idea, I would film my mums Honda Jazz like it’s a supercar or something. The song that would go over it would be really intense

IDEA 5: TO CREATE A MUSIC VIDEO FOR THE MOVIE SONG JURASSIC PARK This last idea would be making a fan music video using the song ‘Welcome to Jurassic Park’. This would be filmed on the game Ark Survival Evolved, as this is a game about dinosaurs and is very appropriate for the song. I would do lots of panning shots, and long shots of the dinosaurs.

IDEA 6: TIMELAPSE For this extra idea I would make a time-lapse and then put music over it, however I would have to decide what song it would be. However it would take a long time to even get the footage, and I would plan to have several places in mind.

CONCLUSION So, there’s my ideas, I know that they’re filmed on a game however, with filming in games, you don’t have any legal limitations to your ideas. With the time-lapse idea I would have to sit around all day and night to make it. Additionally, if the footage went corrupt or I ran out of memory card space, I would be devastated. Furthermore other Ideas that I had, would require a larger budget and some ideas would have legal limitations to them. For example, I had this idea to make a fire fight type of scene however, this would require having fake guns that would look realistic in a public place. Also the other problem is people, I don’t know that many people and the people who I do know, are gamers like me so its more convenient for them to film that way. Furthermore, creating a music video on a game gets rid of any creativity limitations and opens you up to virtually anything you want. Also, if some footage doesn’t work well and I need to re-film, its not a case of having to go back out and filming again, all I would have to do is see where I went wrong with a camera angle and correct it. It’s a lot more convenient.
