SPIEF 2013 PROGRAMME FINDING RESOLVE TO BUILD THE NEW GLOBAL ECONOMY Major economies and global businesses are still adjusting to the dramatic transformations resonating from the Great Recession of The fragility of the global economic recovery, political challenges, the economic and social fractures emanating from the crisis, the importance of capitalizing on new, emerging opportunities and ongoing shifting power equations remain the dominant issues shaping our future. However, with crisis there is also opportunity, if the vision and determination can be mustered to confront the big issues. SPIEF 2013 is being convened under the theme ‘Finding Resolve to Build the New Global Economy’. Global leaders from all walks of life will gather in St. Petersburg in June to discuss how best to build upon the transformations underway and create a more resilient, sustainable system. The programme will be organized around the following pillars:  The Global Growth Agenda  Russia in the Global Agenda  New Catalysts for Change This year, reflecting the fact that the Russian Federation has assumed the Presidency of the G20, SPIEF will also host leaders for the B20 Summit to develop recommendations of the business community for the G20 Summit, to be held in St. Petersburg in early autumn.
