DECISION SUPPORT MODEL

S0UTH AFRICAN TRADE WITH DRC The following DSM results are for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The results are focused on South Africa’s real export opportunity of top 10 products into DRC with a value of 44.9million US$. The map above shows the concentration of the market opportunity in red. The bigger the red dots the bigger the size of the market.

The graph shows that SA has exported more than we have imported from DRC It has to be noted that the trade gap seems to be closing in recent year as we see SA Export to DRC declining for the top 10 traded products S0UTH AFRICAN TRADE WITH DRC The graph shows that SA’s export to DRC compared to DRC consumption is very low to a point of being insignificant This further indicates that there is demand for SA products in DRC and this market needs to be pursued DRC TRADE WITH THE WORLD

The following DSM results are for Uganda. The results are focused on South Africa’s real export opportunity of top 10 products into Uganda with a value of 18.4million US$. The map below shows the concentration of the market opportunity in red. The bigger the red dots the bigger the size of the market. S0UTH AFRICAN TRADE WITH UGANDA

The above graph shows that SA has exported more than we have imported from Uganda. The graph shows that SA’s export to Uganda compared to Uganda’s consumption is very low but on the increase.
