This body was found in a peat bog (piles of decaying vegetation) on Tolland Fen in Denmark in May Two brothers were digging when they suddenly saw a face so fresh they thought they had come across a recent murder. They called the police. The men removed more of the peat to see the man was laying on his right side as if he was asleep his big toe was missing on one foot and he wore only a simple tunic, pointed hat and belt around his waist. Round his neck was a rope noose and an iron neck ring. It was drawn tight around his neck and throat.

Source C – Scientific report Age – The heart and organs were healthy. The wisdom teeth had grown. These appear in people around the age of 20. Stomach – The man had eaten soup at least 12 hours before he died. The soup was made up of seeds that were connected with spring time. Date of death – When they dug up the grave some plants were trapped under the body. They were about 2000 years old.
