Post Event Report: Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Brew Event Loveland Sertoma 11/18/2015

Loveland Sertoma Overview Loveland Sertoma established 42 years ago— Sertoma International is 101 years old Sertoma been a part of the LLBBB event for 9 years will be the 10 th anniversary. LLBBB proceeds supports Loveland Boys and Girls Club, HNS, SAVA and many other organizations—see list in Appendix Membership is approximately 80 members

Summary of 2015 LLBBB Event 2015 was the 9 th annual event Sertoma ran the 2015 event July Police (Sgt. Mines) was very happy with controls and lack of any liquor violations No incidents or problems with the event

Local Business Focus Sertoma increased attendance and effectiveness with input from local vendors: – Food Vendors intermixed with beer vendors this year – Micro Brew kickoff meeting in January—all Loveland MB invited. All increased beer sales well over 2014 Stronger and earlier ad campaign run for 2015 – Bus benches – All newspapers – Web sites Ensured favorable business impact to businesses adjacent to the BBQ as shown by sample surveys of owners – No complaints from any local businesses in the area We are committed to keeping the event downtown to help in all downtown revitalization efforts. This is becoming a concern with the RH sale and city/county project in south Loveland.

Questions/Discussion Shoulder Season Question: – We surveyed our vendors and brewers about moving this event to the shoulder season in Sept/Oct. No one is in favor of the move, so we plan to keep it in the mid summer time slot. Want the involvement of the CMC on a long term basis.
