ELACC12W8: Gather relevant information from sources, using advanced searches effectively; assess the strengths and limitations of each source in terms of the task, purpose, and audience; integrate information selectively to maintain the flow of ideas, avoiding plagiarism and overreliance on any one source and following a standard format for citation.ELACC12W9: Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research. ELACC12RI1: Cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. ELACC12RI2: Determine central ideas and analyze their development, including how they interact and build on one another to provide a complex analysis. What am I going to do today? -In lab Go over how to use "google docs" instructions. -Using primary and secondary sources, compose works cited page for literary analysis research paper via google docs. (Should have a minimum of four sources!) Works Cited sample.doc THIS IS DUE TODAY!Works Cited sample.doc -If time permits, students begin composing lead-ins/lead-outs for two primary source quotes and two secondary source quotes. DUE TOMORROW! What will I do to show I learned it? Generate quotations from secondary sources to support thesis Gather textual evidence for Macbeth as tragic hero, motifs and imagery as we read (quadrants) Summative assessment: Partner test of textual analysis with an informational text.
