OCR Defined: The mechanical or electronic conversion of images of typed, handwritten* or printed text into machine-encoded text. *Appulate’s technology does not support handwritten text

TECHNOLOGY: Artificial Neural Networks, (ANN): A Computer based learning algorithm that “learns” corrections with every scan. The more it is used, the smarter it gets. The same technology used for “Watson”, the IBM computer that beat national chess champions and competed on Jeopardy.
