Administering District EOC Assessments in Performance Matters

Administration Guidelines In the Assessment Alignment Searchable Database located on the District EOC Resources Canvas Page, you will find all courses offered in the district. By filtering down to semester length, District EOCs, you will see what your school needs to test. There is also a column that signifies how the District EOC can be administered. If you see “Computer” this assessment MUST best given on the computer. If you see “Optional” the school has the flexibility to choose between Computer Based Testing or Paper Based Testing.

Administering Online

Prior to Testing…. Before a student takes their first on-line assessment, they should take the Online Assessment ( OLA) Tool Test. This test is similar to the e-Pat and teaches students how navigate through the test and use online tools. It also familiarizes both students and teacher will the login process. The tests take approximately 15 minutes to administer. Headphones are required. You cannot administer the OLA Tool Test and the regular assessment during the same class period. Students only need to take the OLA Tool Test once. Your students may have taken it for another class. You can check their status in OLA Student Admin within SAM. Students who have not taken the test will appear in the “Not Started” section. The OLA Tool Test is available to all students automatically. It does not need to be released from the Test Center. If a student has not taken the test, it will appear on their welcome screen. If administration of the OLA Tool Test is not possible, please present the Video Tutorial 2 from the Performance Matters Help Center. This will give both students and teachers an overview of the student experience.

Prior to Testing…. You can access the student login information from the LDAP synchbridge The School ICT has access to this information Having student login information printed and accessible will make testing day go much smoother!

After Testing Log in to Performance Matters and un-release the test in Test Center at the end of the day. This will prevent students from accessing tests outside of the classroom/school. You can re-release tests to classes or individual students through Test Center at any time during the testing window.

New or Missing Students If a pre-slugged answer sheet is not available for a student, you can print a blank answer sheet from Test Center by clicking the icon. Bubble in the student’s Student ID located in Portal

Helpful Tips Please remind students not to fold, bend, staple the answer sheet. Students should not make any stray marks on the paper. If students mark in the bar code area, the answer sheet will not scan!

After Testing Scan all answer sheets into Performance Matters through the designated RICOH machine at your school Immediately after scanning is complete, check the Pending Student Item Analysis report to ensure that all of the answer sheets scanned correctly. If any student results are missing, check their answer sheet for potential issues (stray marks, etc). Correct the issue and rescan.
