Page 3 Goal #2-Professional Excellence Actions Objective 2.4: Increase recognition of SWE members as influential and sought-after leaders as measured by the number of members participating in prestigious and influential positions, including committees and advisory boards inside and outside of SWE. Page 4 Awards Committee Update Off to a bit of a rocky start with differences in procedures captured in the interfacing groups for notification of Individual Award Results. All results were communicated to nominators and recipients by July 27. Currently Individual Award Coordinators & Committee Chair are responding to 74 feedback requests (51 have been sent to date) out of 166 submissions Concurrently Section Award Coordinators are finishing up selection of Section Awards (will be submitted to SWE HQ ~ Aug 19/20) submissions for 24 different section/region awards to coordinate Chair was recently made aware of logistics for new Region Award (25th) to be added to Celebrate SWE Also in the process of revising procedures to incorporate suggestions from Awards Task Force and other recommendations made, talked with HQ to sync procedures and operating instructions, and using Bylaws Procedures & Conference Program Board as a benchmark. Next step editing and sending out to committee for feedback.
