Mexico City It is one of the largest cities in the world and is classed as a megalopolis As of 2005 the population was 8,720,916 Surrounded on most sides by volcanoes towering at 4,000 to 5,500 meters (13,000 to 18,000 feet) Mexico City, as a municipality, was established in 1521 by Hernán Cortéz in the middle of the now drained Lake Texcoco. Mexico City in 1628 Torre Latinoamericana, first Mexican skyscraper.

Mexico City continued…. Mexico had the second-highest number of kidnappings in the world, with some 3,000 reported cases. Mexico City was traditionally known as la Ciudad de los Palacios ("the City of Palaces") The curriculum of Mexico City's public schools is managed by the federal level Secretary of Public Education; however, funding is allocated by the government of Mexico City. Mexico City is served by the Sistema de Transporte Colectivo Metro, an extensive metro system (207 km), the largest in Latin America, the first portions of which were opened in El Angel de la Independencia monument in the heart of Mexico City at night Map of Mexico City Metro Network The World Trade Center México Located in Mexico City Includes a convention center, cultural center, parking facilities and its most famous and recognizable feature, the 52-story, (564ft) high Torre WTC When talking about the World Trade Center México one usually is referring to the uniquely-shaped tower. The city is very well known for its leatherwork, saddle, and shoe production. Toluca- Toluca is the capital city of Estado de Mexico, the "U" shaped state that surrounds Distrito Federal. The city is situated 64km west of Mexico City, and sits 400m higher, the increase in altitude can result in occasional winter snow. Queretaro City- Queretaro city is the capital of the State of Queretaro, located 220 km to the north of Mexico City by the federal highway 57D in Mexico. Queretaro was founded in 1531, among bloody battles between native Indian and Spanish conquerors.

Guadalajara- With a population of around six million, Guadalajara is the second largest city in México and can be considered the most stereotypically Mexican city, especially when one considers its contributions to Mexican culture, including tequila, mariachis, and the charco (sombrero) hat. PUEBLA- In a broad, high valley about 60 miles southeast of Mexico City is a city known by many names over the years: City of Angels, City of Tiles, Heroic City of Zaragoza. Today we know it as simply Puebla. With over 3,000,000 people, Puebla is Mexico’s fourth largest city in population. MONTERREY-Bustling and booming at the feet of the breathtaking Sierra Madre mountains, Monterrey stands as a city apart in Mexico. Its wealth and industry has made it the shining star of the Mexican economy and has also certified the reputation given the "Regios" (as the denizens of Monterrey are popularly known) of being a hard-working, industrious lot.

Mexico is situated in the subtropical and temperate regions of North America. The topography of Mexico ranges from lowland coastal to high mountain areas. Mexico's geographic situation and diverse topography lead to variable climatic regimes.

Mexico does not have an official language, but Spanish is the most common language. About 7% of the population speak an American dialect and the government officially recognizes sixty-two American languages. English is widely used in business. As a result, English language skills are much in demand and can lead to an increase in the salary offered by a company.
